Our Cat Lounge
It's lunchtime, or anytime really... What to do? Where to go?
Well... do you fancy just relaxing, on a cosy sofa, with a cat or two on your lap, a good book and a decent cup of Strangers coffee or tasty loose leaf teas from the Tea Junction? You do?! Well, come on over as we have all this and more in our Cat Lounge sessions: we offer regular 60 or 90 minute lounge sessions as well as Quiet Hour lounge sessions and Cosy Evening lounge sessions, so take your pick!
Our cat Lounge sessions cost between £10 - £14 per person with your first drink included. This is for 60 - 90 minute sessions. We offer discounted tickets for carers and students. We have a quiet hour on Wednesdays at 10am and we run cosy evening lounge sessions some weekends and at Christmastime.

Sorry, but strictly ages 10 plus only, due to licensing and insurance restrictions, unless the child (8 or 9 years old) has taken part in one of our Cat Awareness Sessions which we run in the school holidays.
Here are 13 things you can do during your cat lounge visit:
Bring your own sandwiches
We don't serve savoury food, just hot and cold drinks, locally made cakes (gluten free & vegan), ice cream tubs and crisps, so feel free to turn up with your own sandwiches but not drinks. Please take your rubbish home with you, and don't feed the cats!

Enjoy A Drink (your first one is included)
We serve delicious artisanal drinks, and alcoholic favourites. Soft drinks also available. We serve delicious Strangers Coffees and our loose leaf teas come from the wonderful Tea Junction in Norwich. Our milk options include dairy milk as well as a certified gluten free oat milk, from Cambridge. Locally brewed Kombucha and Fat Cat Beers also available.

Read A Book
Nothing better than lounging on a sofa with a good book, a cat on your lap, and a hot drink. We have a large cat book library so plenty to choose from if you don't bring your own.

Play with the cats
We have cat toys galore, and many willing playmates, so get on down and have a giggle!
Snap a Selfie or Two With The Cats
Our cats like to pose, so take some time to catch their best side, then don't forget to share on our social media.

We've got the space, the power and a calm relaxed environment, so why not take some time to catch up on those emails, with a cat on your lap of course... or is that on your laptop?!!

SORRY BUT WE DON'T ADOPT OUR CATS OUT
We help to rehome local cats that need help, so keep an eye on our social media for any updates, and you can ask staff when you visit too.

We have lots of choice but only shorter, easier games are available during lounging sessions - if you want to play the more in-depth cat games please book onto our Cat Board Games Sessions.

An ever changing art gallery featuring cat themed work by local artists. Most is for sale. Come and be inspired and maybe sign up for one of our cat painting or drawing classes too. If you are an artist who wishes to sell your cat artwork at The Cat House please get in touch.

Cat Cafés are an experience, offering cat comfort and exquisite entertainment, cosy cuddles and curious conversations. The entrance fees go a long way towards the enrichment, care and facilities these and other rescue cats need on their journeys towards their furrever homes.
